Eric Cooperman is the General Manager and Wine Director at Urban Wren. Eric is an Advanced Sommelier and Master Sommelier candidate through the Court of Master Sommeliers and is a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. He has degrees in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University and Hospitality Management from Florida International University. Before joining Urban Wren, Eric worked as the Wine & Beverage Director at Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group/Thompson Hotel in Washington DC., spent nine years as the Corporate Director of Beverage at The Cliffs in North & South Carolina, and was the General Manager of Gran Cru Wine Bar in Orlando, Florida. He brings Maître’d experience from Club Corp, winemaking knowledge from his harvest work in Oregon and industry knowledge as a fine wine sales representative. Eric is an active member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and holds the regional position of Chambellan Provincial.
