Native from Cali, Colombia, Claudia discovered her passion for food during family gatherings around the table, and her love for the south when in 2007 spent a year as an international exchange student in Greenwood, SC.
After going through business and psychology studies, claudia took a leap of faith and started her culinary journey, Escuela Gastronómica de Occidente in her hometown was the place that welcomed her to it, throughout the years she has traveled across the world and taking every chance to learn about local food and ingredients, then dedicated some time to travel around her own country, all this before 2021 when she packed her life and moved to Greenville, the city that has seen her fall in love with the service industry and has given her the chance to reach her goals.
Claudia was part of the opening team of Hester General Store where she went from the heat of the kitchens to learn about southern pies, has had the opportunity to work with Uptown Catering, then became part of the pastry team at Between the Trees at the Grand Bohemian Lodge, while at the same time starting up her own private dinning company, and more recently got invited to be part of the team for Comal864 Midtown as their head chef under chef Dayna’s guidance.
