Guichard’s life-long love of food began at an early age in Haiti learning to cook next to his mother. It expanded as he began traveling and living internationally.
After receiving a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University, Guichard gained valuable restaurant experience working as a server, line cook, to become a Sous-Chef and Head Chef over a 20+-year career.
As Chef and owner of House 509 Bistro & Wine Bar, Guichard creates delicious dishes that combine traditional French cuisine with Caribbean and Southern Homestyle influences. His unique entrée flights create a multi- sensory dining experience of savory flavors. It gives him great joy to share a love of food with his restaurant guests.
