Josh Jones

Josh Jones is the CEO and head winemaker of City Scape Winery, a popular vineyard and tasting room located near Greenville, South Carolina. Raised near New York’s Finger Lakes wine region, Josh developed an early appreciation for viticulture, though his professional career initially began as a mechanical engineer and wedding photographer. His journey into winemaking started as a creative outlet in 2009 when he and his wife, Debra, purchased their first home-winemaking kit from the very winery they would later own. After successfully crafting 120 bottles of wine for their own wedding in 2012, the couple’s hobby quickly evolved into a full-time calling. In late 2015, they took a leap of faith to purchase City Scape Winery, transforming it into a thriving Upstate destination that now employs dozens of team members and offers over 27 different types of wines that are all crushed, pressed, fermented, aged, and bottled onsite. Today, Josh continues to merge art and science through his craft, managing the winery’s winemaking and vineyard operations alongside his wife while earning recognition for his award-winning vintages.
