Kyle Martin

At Café Violette, Chef Kyle Martin brings the flavors of the French Riviera to quaint Blowing Rock, NC. Growing up in the Carolinas and Virginia, Southern hospitality has always inspired Kyle’s approach to food. After European travels and classic French culinary training, he fell in love with the fresh and flavorful food of the Mediterranean. He continued to develop his knowledge of the cuisine in fine dining kitchens in the mountains and the coast of North Carolina. Now, in Blowing Rock, Kyle and his wife, Sunshine, bring their care for hospitality to Café Violette, named for the oldest of their two daughters. Serving a thoughtful selection of food and wine since 2020 with partner, Catherine Thomas, the group added a coffee and French bakery expansion, Tout Suite, in 2023.
