euphoria, a four-day food, wine and music festival held each fall in Greenville, was awarded the Governor’s Cup by Gov. Henry McMaster at 57th annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism & Travel in Greenville on Feb. 9.

euphoria hosts a variety of events, including:

  • Cooking demonstrations
  • Wine seminars
  • Live musical performances
  • Multi-course dinners featuring Michelin-starred chefs

The Governor’s Cup recognizes an attraction, destination, or development that demonstrates extraordinary success in tourism — in this case, euphoria’s multimillion-dollar impact on Greenville’s tourism scene, according to the announcement.

“euphoria’s mission is to showcase Greenville as a travel destination and highlight its thriving culinary and music arts scene while raising money to support local charities,” said euphoria executive director Morgan Allen. “So it is a huge honor to receive the Governor’s Cup and see the festival recognized for its contributions to South Carolina tourism. Our team works hard to bring in chefs, participants, and festival attendees from across the country, and even around the world, to experience our festival, stay in area hotels, eat at local restaurants, and shop our small businesses. We are proud to receive an award of this caliber, and we are incredibly grateful for all of our community partners and volunteers who help make euphoria possible.”

euphoria has also funded projects for more than 40 local charities that work to help children, provide education through music and performing arts and strive to eliminate hunger in the community.
